Henderson hall hire fees 2020
Henderson Hall is a community Hall available for hire within the village of Talybont on Usk situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons Nation Park. The village itself has many amenities, see website https://talybontonusk.com . The Hall is a registered charity and is run largely by volunteers. All income is put back into the Hall and the community.
Henderson Hall itself is well equipped with spaces suitable for both small and larger events. Please let us know if you need to use the AV system or if your group /event has any special requirements, particularly if you have attendees with disability.
We do offer reduced rates for local people and regular groups as well as charitable organisations both as a day rate and at weekends, please discuss this with our bookings secretary initially by email at: email@example.com
Hourly hire rates
Individuals or groups either living within the Community Council area or serving primarily those within the Community Council area - £10 per hour
People or groups from outside Community Council area - £15 per hour
Corporate events, essentially commercial organisations running events as part of a business- £20/hour (Corporate events are charged £25 for use of AV system for part/full day event).
Rates for weekend hire;
Corporate or big events, e.g.; weddings, sporting events
£ 350 per 24 hrs
£ 600 per 48 hrs
Weddings are usually charged the 48-hour rate giving time for set up and clean up.
There is no additional charge for AV equipment at weekends.
We do ask that a £5 car parking fee is added to the entry fee of each competitor for large sporting events where more that 200 competitors are likely to attend. We will liaise with event organisers and usually work with a local campsite 100 metres away to provide offsite parking as well as shower facilities. The Hall and local area cannot cope with unmanaged parking for larger events. The maximum number of competitors we can accept at larger sporting events is 700 people.
We do not charge for events related to local funerals but a modest donation is appreciated.
It is possible for people to stay overnight in the Hall if they are organising and running events from the hall.
Prices for this facility as follows:
Youth /children’s groups overnight £80- 4pm-10am for up to 20 people plus supervising adults plus £5 per extra child.
Student groups overnight £8 per person
Adult overnight £15 per person 4pm-10am
The maximum number of people staying overnight is 40.
Please note, we only allow an overnight stay as part of the Hall being booked for a specific event, we do not operate as a bunkhouse.
We have a smaller meeting room suitable for committee and small group work;
Meeting room £8 /hour with kitchen use
£5/hour without kitchen
£100 breakages deposit is required for evening/larger parties/weekends. Please discuss with the bookings secretary. This will be refunded in full assuming no breakage or damage.
Any queries after events should go initially to bookings secretary. It is always advisable to alert us to any known damage or breakages as soon as possible.
In addition, there is a £25 cleaning fee for evening parties and a £35 cleaning fee corporate/ big events/weekend events.
We also can hire out tables and chairs for external events, typically £5 per table £2 per chair but this is negotiable depending upon requirements and length of hire period.
