Health and Safety including corona virus infection control
Hall Hirers must agree to abide to the coronavirus special conditions of hire
Children’s Supervision: It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that sufficient and suitable supervision is provided for all children’s events (persons aged less than 18 years).
Cooking: Additional cooking appliances to those in place must not be used.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted in the Hall or grounds, except for guide dogs.
Electrical appliances: The hirer accepts liability for any damage caused by electrical equipment brought into the Hall.
Emergency exits: Event organisers must ensure that emergency exit doors are unlocked at the start of the event. Emergency doors should be kept clear at all times.
Fireworks: Fireworks are not permitted in the Hall or Hall grounds.
Set up of Tables and Chairs: The hall is run by local volunteers and bookings does not include any set up or break down of tables and chairs for events. Should you require this service, please discuss your requirements and availability and a costing can be done for you.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
Cleaning and damages
Hall hirers must leave the hall in a tidy state upon leaving, including; floors swept, rubbish removed, kitchen surfaces cleaned and all furniture put away. Cleaning charges cover cleaning of the toilets, mopping and polishing all the floors.
Rubbish: We do not have a commercial rubbish collection but, if this should be a problem for your event, then please discuss it with us so that we can offer assistance as best we can.
Damages: Any damage incurred to building, furniture, apparatus or other property of the Henderson Hall Management Committee must be made good by the persons to whom the premises are let. A £100 returnable breakages bond is charged for all large and corporate bookings
Parking and playing fields
Hall users using the hall car park are asked to use the honesty boxes. Car parking for large events must be arranged with the Bookings Secretary. No parking is permitted in Penpentre, on the green in front of the adjacent bungalows, or at the rear of the bungalows.
The playing fields and multi-use games area (MUGA) surrounding the Hall are owned and managed by Talybont on Usk Community Council. If you wish to use them for any purpose, please discuss with the Bookings Secretary.
Alcohol: If alcohol is to be sold on the premises a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) will be required under the Licensing Act 2003. The Hall Hirer is responsible for securing the TEN in line with the requirements of Powys County Council’s Licences and Permits department
